Singapore provided me with a wide variety of tropical fruits and orchids that I used as subject matter. Using available materials, simple setups, and a minimum of studio space, the subject possibilities are endless. Still-Life engages the technical skills of drawing, coloration, arrangement, and design. The ink and crayon studies often become the point-of-departure my paintings in acrylics on canvas.
